Hi everyone!
Yesterday I thought I could make fish and chips, as my daughters have been asking for it- they love it!
And I went to look in the freezer and actually had all I needed! It turned out pretty well, also thanks to Sarson's Malt Vinegar :) Hope you like my fish and chips!
Ingredients:
(for the batter)
- 3 eggs
- flour
- milk
(I added some sesame seeds to the batter too, it was very good and tasty!)
- 4 haddock fillets
- some more flours
- sunflower oil
- 5 middle sized potatoes
How to make it:
- Dry the fish fillets and lightly flour them.
- Warm the oil.
- Prepare the batter, until it becomes very dense. According to its consistency, add milk or flour.
- Dip the fish fillets in the batter.
- Fry them in deep oil.
- Dry them on blotting paper.
- Fry the potatoes in a separate pan -alternatively you can fry them before the fish.
- Dry them on blotting paper.
- Sprinkle on some malt vinegar and salt.
- Enjoy!

I love fish Annalisa, and accompanied by chips uhmmmmmm...delicious.
A very good dish, congratulations.
Happy weekend :)
I LOVE haddock, and halibut, and salmon, but we have a hard time getting REALLY fresh fish of ANY kind in land-locked Iowa in the middle of the USA!!
Man, that looks good. Best fish and chips I ever had was off a navy pier in chicago in the late 60's (I was 10 or 11), served in a paper bag! I still remember loving it.
Filetto A great fish and served with a delicious potato, malt vinegar do not know but it should give a special touch
kisses
Very nice, and tasty; Only to say I would prefer using olive oil, at least for the chips.
xx
How did I miss 'fish and chips'? This would be one of my favorite meals and so much better made at home! ♥
